State Boards of Nursing
State Boards of Nursing are responsible for safeguarding the public’s health and welfare by ensuring safe nursing practices and competent care. They also have responsibility for the enforcement of laws related to nursing within a state, including addressing violations of the Nurse Practice Act.
Boards of Nursing are also a valuable resource for nursing professionals. Each state’s board of nursing website contains important information about nurse licensing requirements, the license application process, nursing license transfers and endorsements, and nursing license verifications, as well as information about nursing education, nursing CEUs and more.
